Updates: Penn State coaches, players talk Northwestern game week – 247Sports

  • September 28, 2022

Game Week 5 of the 2022 Penn State football season is underway in Happy Valley. Following a Sept. 24 victory over Central Michigan, who the Nittany Lions beat 33-14, another home game awaits at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday against Northwestern.
As Penn State prepares to resume Big Ten competition, we’re back on our weekly media access schedule with Penn State. Sticking with the standard setup, that coverage begins Tuesday with player calls and a 12:30 p.m. press conference with head coach James Franklin.
Nittany Lions athletes expected to meet with the media via Zoom this week include punter Barney Amor, defensive end Adisa Isaac, cornerback Joey Porter Jr., offensive guard Landon Tengwall, tight end Tyler Warren and linebackers Dominic DeLuca and Tyler Elsdon
A couple of other notes…
– We’re scheduled to speak with special teams coordinator Stacy Collins on Thursday.
– We’ll gain a look at some practice action Wednesday, toward the evening. Franklin and receiver Mitchell Tinsley are scheduled to be available to media afterward.
Each week, we’ll set up an updates thread and utilize it throughout these discussions as place for our Lions247 team to drop notes, quotes, and context. Keep an eye on videos, photos, practice notes, and stories elsewhere as the week progresses.
