Tuesday afternoon injury update from Beamer – 247Sports

  • October 26, 2022

South Carolina Gamecocks football coach Shane Beamer updated the health of several players, including Terrell Dawkins and Corey Rucker.
“Corey Rucker won’t play. … Terrell Dawkins practiced today again and is getting closer and closer to playing,” Beamer said.
Rucker, who’s played in two games this season, is dealing with a foot injury. He could “potentially” redshirt this season, though there’s a chance he’ll play again before 2022 is finished.
“I think it’s probably trending in that direction, for when he gets healthy, if he’s able to get healthy this season, it’s probably going to be the to the point where he can play some games and preserve (the redshirt) with him,” Beamer said.
Dawkins is working back from a knee procedure that was performed between the Arkansas and Charlotte games. Beyond him and Rucker, the team is in “great shape,” Beamer said.
