Buccaneers player is dealing with minor rotator cuff injury
This Tuesday has been filled with notes related to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, however, little has been said about his NFL playing activity and little is also known about an injury he suffered in last Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and his availability for the Week 5 game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the seven-time Super Bowl winner is dealing with a minor rotator cuff injury that occurred in the second quarter of the game against the Chiefs, when L’Jarius Sneed hit the 45-year-old hard from his blind lake on a blitz that caused not only a sack, but a fumble that gave Kansas City the ball.
The good news is that, despite the pain, TB12 immediately returned to the game at Raymond James Stadium and according to Rapoport himself and Brady’s post-game statements, it should not pose a major problem or cause any limitations so he can practice at 100% with an eye toward playing the Falcons.
Brady’s minor injury is surely the least of his worries, as it has been reported just this Tuesday that he has already hired lawyers to begin the divorce process from his wife Gisele Bündchen.
As far as his job as QB of Tampa Bay is concerned, the situation is not ideal for the former New England Patriots player either, because he wants to avoid three losses, after he has suffered defeats in his last two games, in week 3 he was defeated by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, while, as already mentioned, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs took the victory in the last Sunday Night Football.
