Sources: Update on Declan Rice’s West Ham future after ‘jawdropping’ offer tabled – Football Insider

By Pete O’Rourke
Declan Rice has no intention of signing a new West Ham contract this season regardless of the offer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Irons star man, 23, has his sights set on a mega-money transfer to a Champions League giant – most likely next summer.
West Ham have offered Rice multiple new deals, including a jawdropping offer worth £200,000-a-week and running for eight years.
But the England international does not want to put pen to paper on an extension, no matter the generosity of the offer.
Rice has attracted interest from leading Premier League clubs Man United, Man City and Chelsea, while Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is also a huge admirer of him.
The midfield anchorman will have just one year left on his current deal at the end of the season, although the London club have the option of another year.

West Ham wanted £100million for the England star in the summer of 2021 and then David Moyes insisted at his media conference in April that the price tag had rocketed and “£150m just now would be minimum”.
That was enough to temporarily put off the Premier League elite from making a move.
But Rice’s price tag is falling as he will enter the final 18 months of his contract in the new year.
West Ham are likely to make fresh attempts to re-open contract talks, not least because it will protect the player’s market value.
But they are also planning for the future, and that means scouring the market for a potential replacement for the England international.
Targets are being drawn up with the capability of stepping into Rice’s shoes and bids are expected to be submitted next year.
