Millwall have had a mixed start to the season but they moved up to 13th in the table with a welcome 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough at The Den on Saturday.

In truth, picking up results at home hasn’t been a problem, with the Lions winning five of their seven on their own patch, whilst they are yet to get a victory on the road.
So, the problem is clear to see and Gary Rowett will hope his side can address that when they take on Bristol City at Ashton Gate this weekend.
Whilst all the focus is on the game, there’s still plenty going on involving Millwall and here we provide a round-up of the latest news…
West Brom consider Rowett

There have been plenty of sackings in the Championship this season and the latest saw Steve Bruce leave West Brom.
They’re on the lookout for his successor and it has been claimed that Rowett is someone who the hierarchy at The Hawthorns are monitoring, with the club believed to be impressed with how he works on a budget.
It remains to be seen whether this results in a formal approach, although there are plenty of other named linked with the vacancy.

Charlie Cresswell expected to stay beyond January
Leeds United defender Cresswell was brought in on loan in the summer and part of the deal will allow the Whites to recall him in the New Year if they want.
Even though he had a decent start, the England U21 international hasn’t featured in the past two games, although Rowett insists the player remains in his plans.
As a result, reporter Tim Thornton has indicated that a return to Elland Road is unlikely in January as Cresswell tries to force his way back into the XI.

Millwall in race to land 15-goal striker
Clubs will be making plans ahead of the January window and most would agree that a new striker would be welcome at The Den.
And, FLW have exclusively revealed that Millwall are among a host of clubs tracking Macaulay Langstaff after his outstanding start to the season in the National League with Notts County.
The forward has scored 15 goals in 13 games to help the side to the top of the table and a switch to the Football League is on the cards in the next window.
