Report: Details of Pitt QB Injuries – Sports Illustrated

  • September 12, 2022

PITTSBURGH — The Pitt Panthers were bit hard by the injury bug during their Week 2 matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers. Both of their top two quarterbacks – Kedon Slovis and Nick Patti – were hurt in varying capacities.
A report from Corey Crisan of DK Pittsburgh Sports gave some insight into the nature of the injuries that Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi was unwilling to share. Crisan reported that Slovis sustained a concussion and Patti sprained his ankle.
Slovis was knocked out of Pitt's 34-27 loss to the Volunteers at the end of the first half and did not return. Patti entered in relief and hurt his ankle in the fourth while scrambling for the endzone and finished the game.
