Frank McAvennie is disappointed to see the vandalism done to the Jurgen Klopp mural in Liverpool ahead of their game against Rangers (4 October).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic and West Ham striker said he is not surprised the Gers fans were causing trouble before their Champions League game last Tuesday (4 October).
The Liverpool Echo reported (4 October) that several murals had been damaged in the city ahead of the clash including one of Jurgen Klopp, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson.

The murals were splattered with blue and white paint the day of the match.
Merseyside Police are investigating the incident as well as other offensive graffiti that was found.
McAvennie said that although it is a small minority of fans potentially causing the trouble, it gives Scotland a bad name.

It is disappointing,” he told Football Insider.
“Is it believable? Yes. Did I think it would possibly happen? Yes. I am not going to blame the Rangers support because most of them are pretty good. But there is an element of it in there. They just cause bother.
It is a football game, they should be so proud of their team. When they won the league they wrecked Glasgow, and that is them winning.
I would have had someone on that [Klopp] mural because I would have thought something would happen. It happens a lot with Rangers and it does happen with Celtic but nowhere near as bad. It is a shame and it gives Scotland a bad name. We are better than that.
