Pundit digs at Patrick Bamford after Leeds United source’s update – ‘it’s not good enough’ – Football Insider

Patrick Bamford and his Leeds United teammates must do more to help save Jesse Marsch’s job.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Whites’ recent performances.
Leeds United recorded a stunning 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday (29 October), their first in the Premier League since 21 August.

On Tuesday (25 October), sources told this site that the Whites are putting out feelers as they lay the groundwork for appointing a new manager.
McManus claims players such as Bamford must improve to help Leeds rise up the table.
“They need to be doing better, there are too many players not doing enough for the team,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.

“Look at the run of winless games then look at the start of the season when they started winning, they looked top-notch.
“That change doesn’t happen overnight and I think what Marsch is trying to do is probably right. Bamford needs more goals, it’s not good enough from him, Rodrigo has had to step up.
“The defence has not been as solid as it should be so I think it is the players as much as it is Marsch.
“But at the end of the day, Marsch is the one who has to carry the can. The players will still be there so they need to
The result against Liverpool lifted Marsch’s side out of the relegation zone and into 15th place in the Premier League.
However, it was just the club’s third win of the season and they had not won in the previous eight matches before Saturday’s win.
