Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley has denied any suggestion that the club could lose goalkeeper Josh Griffiths to his parent club during the season.
The England Under-21 international is on a season-long loan from Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion and has started off impressively at Fratton Park.

And with parent club West Brom struggling in the Championship having sacked manager Steve Bruce on October, rumours surfaced that Griffiths could return to help stabilise the ship.

"He’s here on loan but there’s certain stipulations on that loan that give us protection," Cowley told the Express and Star. "But, of course, whenever a managerial change happens, you are always aware of it."
Pompey's backup goalkeeper is Tottenham's Josh Oluwayemi, who is also on loan on the south coast and has featured twice for the club in the Football League Trophy.
