Nottingham Forest loanee Dean Henderson’s future beyond this season remains uncertain.
But the goalkeeper, along with the Reds, will be keeping tabs on the situation at parent club Manchester United, amid reports boss Erik ten Hag is “undecided” about David De Gea. What happens with the Spaniard will likely affect Henderson’s standing.
And the Daily Express claim De Gea could end up leaving Old Trafford on a free transfer at the end of this term, with question marks over where he fits into Ten Hag’s plans. It is said a feeling that Dea Gea “is struggling to play out from the back” does not tie in with his manager looking to implement his own style.

Leicester City talisman Jamie Vardy is "pushing" to be named in the starting line-up against Nottingham Forest as both teams return after the international break.
The 35-year-old is yet to get on the scoresheet this season and has found himself out of the starting XI for the last two Premier League games. Patson Daka has replaced the veteran striker in the line-up for games against Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur and has been one of Leicester’s better players.
The Zambian did however return from international duty due to illness, although he should recover in time for the visit of Forest. Steve Cooper ’s men travel to the King Power Stadium on Monday night.

Free agent Serge Aurier became the club’s 22nd addition when he put pen to paper earlier this month – albeit three new arrivals headed straight out on loan. However, the Reds had little choice but to oversee a dressing room overhaul, following promotion to the Premier League.

If Nottingham Forest can get back to winning ways on Monday night there could be “horrible scenes” at the King Power Stadium.
Pundit Gabby Agbonlahor has outlined just how much is riding on the Reds’ trip to face Leicester City – for both sides. But he has hinted Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes will be the ones under most pressure.
Forest have had a tough start to life back in the Premier League after a 23-year absence. Losing to fellow promoted side Fulham last time out made it four defeats in a row.
Steve Cooper’s side are second-bottom in the table, with four points from their first seven games. Their next opponents are even worse off, however, propping up the division with just one point to their name.
