The NFL’s deadline for trimming rosters has come and gone, with all 32 teams finalizing initial 53-man rosters Tuesday. Most clubs’ moves were expected, but we also got a few surprises, like the Saints trading starting defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson and the Raiders trading former starting cornerback Trayvon Mullen.
Plenty more moves could be on the horizon, whether via waivers or last-minute trades, but for the most part, Week 1 depth charts are now in order. A number of big names are also now available after failing to make their respective squads over the summer.
Make sure to check out all of our coverage of final cuts ahead of the 2022 season. You can review the biggest moves of the deadline with our live cuts tracker below, or check out the biggest names now on the market. We’ve also compiled a team-by-team guide separating all of the latest transactions by squad.

Another good receiver now on the open market.
#Seahawks have released WR Freddie Swain, per source. A key piece in last year’s offense with 25 catches and 343 yards is now available.

This is an interesting one. The Rams have been talking up Brycen Hopkins during camp, so I guess he beat out Harris.
The Rams are releasing WR/TE Jacob Harris, per source. A surprise, considering Harris’ (fourth-rounder) athletic potential and ability to contribute on special teams. Was injured most of 2021 (rookie season) but back healthy this year. If he’s not claimed he can return to PS.
The @Seahawks’ all-time leading rusher? @shaunalexander.

Pretty surprising if this shakes out: Steelers keeping Steven Sims over Gunner Olszewski, who was signed this offseason from New England. Sims has played better in the preseason, making it harder for Pittsburgh possible waive him with hopes of stashing him on the practice squad.
Steelers are keeping (initially): WRs Calvin Austin, Miles Boykin and Steven Sims, FB Derek Watt, OLs Kendrick Green, Joe Haeg and Trent Scott, DT Montravius Adams, ILB Marcus Allen, OLB Derrek Tuszka, CBs James Pierre and Justin Layne, S Damontae Kazee.

Wow. New Vikings front office didn’t like what the previous one did.
The #Vikings cut three 2021 third-round picks today: QB Kellen Mond, LB Chazz Surratt and G Wyatt Davis.

The #Patriots have cut two 2020 third-round TEs: Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene.

Pretty surprising cut, will be surprised if the Texans are able to get him on their practice squad.
The #Texans released QB Jeff Driskel, per source. They’d like him back on the practice squad.
Saints trading DB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson to Eagles. (via @RapSheet + @TomPelissero) pic.twitter.com/v456vN2TYU
Well, here’s the answer.
Shocker: The #Saints are trading DB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson to the #Eagles, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. After extension talks broke down, the focus shifted from keeping Gardner-Johnson to trading him. Philly lands a starter. pic.twitter.com/k6bxvziA84
This is interesting. Not sure what that means for the plan at safety.
Eagles are releasing starting safety Anthony Harris, per source.
The Cowboys waiving McKeon likely means they’re keeping undrafted rookie Peyton Hendershot, which means it’ll be two rookies (Hendershot and fourth-round pick Jake Ferguson) behind Dalton Schultz.
Cowboys have waived TE Sean McKeon, person familiar with decision said. McKeon arguably had catch of training camp in 2021 but knee injury slowed him this summer. Chance to rejoin team on practice squad if clears waivers. pic.twitter.com/PxB86juGhr
Oh wow. This is a player that will surely receive interest.
Here’s a big and surprising cut: Bucs are waiving receiver Tyler Johnson today.
Rosen was unable to beat out Josh Dobbs for a spot on the Browns’ 53-man roster.
The #Browns will be releasing QB Josh Rosen, per @JosinaAnderson.
This really shows how much has changed regarding the Steelers D-line in just one year. Pittsburgh has added a lot of depth to the room after struggling mightily against the run last year.
Steelers cutting Henry Mondeaux, per a league source
I’m going to guess he’s claimed off waivers. Preston Williams was pushed down the Dolphins WR depth chart, but has shown potential in the past.
The #Dolphins cut WR Preston Williams, per source.

Multiple teams reached out over the last few weeks about a possible trade. Now, he’s on waivers.
