Man United should hold off on offering Marcus Rashford a new contract until the end of the season, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Spurs and England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, pointed to the fact it was “not long ago” Rashford, 24, was linked with an exit from Old Trafford.
Rashford has starred for the Red Devils this season and produced a match-winning display against Arsenal on 4 September.

The England international is thriving as a number nine under Erik ten Hag.
According to The Sun‘s Neil Custis (7 September), United are set to reward Rashford’s early season form with the offer of a new five-year deal.
Ten Hag is said to be in no doubt over the forward’s future at the club.

Rashford has two years remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford.
When asked by Football Insider if Rashford was deserving of a new long-term contract, Robinson said: “It depends what the manager wants and what he sees as the future.
“It was not long ago that we were questioning Marcus Rashford’s future. There was an expectance that he would leave in the summer.
“You have to remember that one swallow does not make a summer.
“I would hold back on offering him a new deal. I would see how he performs for the rest of the season and then make a judgement then.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Man United fans will be ‘shocked’ by a £94million Cristiano Ronaldo reveal.
