Kevin Campbell has claimed Jude Bellingham is capable of replacing Bernardo Silva at Man City.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said Bellingham, 19, could play anywhere across Pep Guardiola’s midfield.
On 24 September, The Sun‘s Phil Thomas revealed the centre-midfielder is very close friends with his former Borussia Dortmund teammate Erling Haaland.
City are said to be in a race with Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea for Bellingham.
According to Mundo Deportivo, via Sport Witness (26 September), Man City have slapped a £72million price tag on Bernardo Silva amid continued interest from Barcelona.
When asked by Football Insider if Bellingham could replace Bernardo Silva at the Etihad next summer, Campbell said: “Yeah he could.

“Let’s be honest, Bellingham is such a good all-round player that he can play in any of the midfield positions. He can sit or he can push on.
“Pep likes players who can play in different positions. Bellingham is definitely a player who is versatile. He could play in any of the midfield positions. He fits the Man City model great.
“The fact of the matter is, he is not Bernardo Silva but he could play in his position. He would do things a different way.
“He would do is get in the box. Bellingham can head it. He is a threat. It would cause another problem for the defence. Imagine Haaland and Bellingham attacking the ball in the box.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Man City could now seal a wave of new signings on reduced contracts.
