The Seminoles return to action after enjoying a bye week. They are currently on a three-game losing streak. The Seminoles have played the 6th-toughest schedule in the nation so far this season with their first seven opponents combining for a 68.2 winning percentage according to NCAA Statistics.
Georgia Tech is led by interim head coach Brent Key, after they fired head coach Geoff Collins in late September. Prior to being promoted to interim head coach, Key served as assistant head coach, run game coordinator, and offensive line coach for the Yellow Jackets. Key led GT to back-to-back victories in his first two games at the helm, but suffered his first loss last Thursday as interim head coach against Virginia.
To date, Georgia Tech has faced the nation’s eighth-most difficult schedule this season, according to the NCAA’s official strength-of-schedule rankings.

Noles247.com will have updates throughout the game, including before kickoff, after kickoff, and through the final whistle. Updates will include an availability report, injury updates, play-by-play, stats, highlights, and much, much more.
– What will be the quarterback situation for Georgia Tech? Starter Jeff Sims, a sophomore, has been banged up and didn’t finish the game against Virginia. Redshirt sophomore Zach Gibson filled in for Sims, but was unable to muster much offense for the Yellow Jackets. There has been some talk of freshman Zach Pyron potentially contributing against the Seminoles.
– The biggest news for the Seminoles is the potential return of defensive tackle Fabien Lovett. The redshirt junior was injured late in the victory over LSU in New Orleans, La. back in early September. On Wednesday, FSU head coach Mike Norvell said he would be a game-time decision on Saturday.
– Running back Treshaun Ward was injured in recent weeks. He was described by Norvell this week as being a bit further behind Lovett in the sense of making a return to on-field action.
– In recent weeks, FSU has been without the services of wide receiver Darion Williamson, tight end Jackson West, and offensive lineman Thomas Shrader.
– Running back CJ Campbell, offensive linemen Bless Harris and Kayden Lyles, as well as linebacker Stephen Dix Jr. have been deemed out for the season by Norvell previously. Campbell did return to practice for the Seminoles this week.
