– FINAL – Mississippi State 40, Arkansas 17 – More soon on!

– And now, reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Week Emmanuel Forbes gets a pick! State ball on its own 20 with 7:23 to play. Dawgs up 40-17 over Arkansas.

– TOUCHDOWN BULLDOGS! Jo’quavious Marks is the man getting across the goal line this time. Two-yard run is the exclamation point of a six-play, 70-yard drive. The PAT is no good, but Mississippi State leads Arkansas 40-17 with 10:28 left.

– Now the Dawgs end an Arkansas drive with a Jackie Matthews pick! And Davis Wade is going wild! State still up 34-17, looking for more.

– TOUCHDOWN BULLDOGS! MSU answers right back! It’s a seven-play, 75-yard drive, capped off by a 30-yard TD run by Dillon Johnson. Ben Raybon PAT is good and Mississippi State leads Arkansas 34-17 with 54 seconds left in the third quarter.

– Touchdown Arkansas. The Hogs connect on a big play. 56-yard pass gets them in the end zone. PAT is good. Mississippi State lead is now 27-17 with 3:33 left in the third quarter.

– By the way, we have a birthday boy in the house today…
𝙍π™ͺπ™£π™£π™žπ™£’ π˜Ώπ™–π™¬π™œπ™¨@Dill_7k finds paydirt for the 2nd time, this one on a 30-yard run. He’s got 98-yards on 16 carries #HailState🐢 | πŸ“Ί:

– State unable to get much going offensively. Dawgs punt and Arkansas takes over on its own 20. 5:53 left in the third quarter with State leading 27-10 still.

– And here was that goal-line stand by the MSU D that now has the Bulldogs back on offense:
Hey hey! It’s somebody’s birthday!#HailState🐢

– It happened a few moments ago, but check out (or relive) the Caleb Ducking TD reception here:
Third time is 𝑡𝑢𝑻 the charm πŸ’ͺ#HailState🐢

– Arkansas indeed goes for it and the DAWGS STAND TALL! Turnover on downs. MSU ball. Dawgs on their own 1-yard line with 8:16 left in the third quarter. State still leads 27-10.

– Arkansas moved the ball to the MSU 2 and had a first and goal. Dawg D has stood tall and it’s now 4th and goal from the 1. Hogs were going for it, but an MSU timeout was called.

– TOUCHDOWN BULLDOGS! And our first duck waddle celebration of the day as Caleb Ducking caps off a six-play, 58-yard drive with a 33-yard TD reception on a throw from Will Rogers. Dawgs have trouble on the PAT attempt so it’s unsuccessful, but MSU leads Arkansas 27-10 with 11:16 left in the third quarter.

– And the Dawg D follows up by forcing a three-and-out. Good start for State in the third quarter.

– Second half underway and it starts with Arkansas unable to handle the kickoff. It rolls into the end zone after being muffed. Hogs barely get out and the Dawgs stop Arkansas on its own one.

– HALFTIME: Mississippi State 21, Arkansas 10
.@c_ducking17 walks into the endzone for 6! That’s his 7th score of the season πŸ₯#HailState🐢

– MSU’s 40-yard field goal try is no good. MSU’s lead remains 21-10 with 13 seconds left in the half.

– Mississippi State has driven to the Arkansas 22, trying to get points prior to the half. Field goal try is upcoming…

– And Arkansas quickly finds the end zone for a touchdown. Three plays and 71 yards. A 68-yard pass got the Hogs to the 3-yard line before they punched it in. After the PAT, MSU’s lead is now 21-10 with 1:11 til half.

– MSU’s ensuing drive gets stopped on a 4th-and-short in Arkansas territory. Hogs take over on their own 29.

– Arkansas gets on the board. Hogs drive into MSU territory and get points on a 51-yard field goal. Mississippi State lead is now 21-3 with 5:56 until halftime.

– Check out this catch from Austin Williams that has the Dawgs in complete control!Β
Halftime stats:

– TOUCHDOWN BULLDOGS! Will Rogers has to scramble around a little, then finds his teammate (and roommate) Austin Williams for the score! 10-yard TD pass and an outstanding diving catch by Williams! Ben Raybon with the PAT and it’s now a 21-0 lead for Mississippi State over Arkansas. 9:03 left til half.

– Dawg D forces a 3-and-out. Zavion Thomas returns an Arkansas punt to the Hog 40, so great field positon for the Dawgs. Still 14-0 State with 12:05 left in the second quarter.

– Well, the MSU drive doesn’t get points, but it does end with a fantastic punt by Archer Trafford. Jaden Walley downs it inside the Hog 1-yard line and that’s where Arkansas will start.

– END OF FIRST QUARTER: Mississippi State 14, Arkansas 0 – And the Dawgs are on the move again. State is on the Arkansas 35 when play resumes.

Will Rogers just set theΒ SEC record for career completions!
Oh Man, What A Grab, @auss_10_ ‼️#HailState🐢 | πŸ“Ί:

– Arkansas found some offensive life, but it comes up empty. The Hogs made a QB change and Malik HornsbyΒ immediately ripped off a 52-yard run to get Arkansas deep into State territory. But inside the 10, the drive stalled. Dawgs held on a 4th-and-short. Turnover on downs and MSU takes over on its own 8 with 1:56 left in the first quarter. Dawgs leading 14-0 still.

– The Rogers-to-Walley connection through the lens…
Another SEC Passing Record Lives In StarkVegas 😀@Wrogers__2 is your new SEC Career Completions Record Holder with 922, passing Aaron Murray‼️#HailState🐢

– TOUCHDOWN BULLDOGS! Will Rogers scrambles around and finds Jaden Walley in the end zone to polish off a 12-play, 55-yard drive. Ball went off the fingertips of an Arkansas defender and Walley hauled it in! Ben Raybon’s PAT makes it a 14-0 Mississippi State lead over Arkansas with 4:10 left in the first quarter.

– The aforementioned Tyrus Wheat sack…
How It Started ➑️ How It Ended πŸ™Œ

– Dawg D shines in its first appearance today. Arkansas did manage a first down, but that was all. A Tyrus Wheat sack ends the Hog drive. Arkansas punts and State takes over at its own 45 looking to increase the early 7-0 lead.

– Here was that TD from Dillon Johnson that has the Dawgs on top early:
.@Tyrus_Wheat18 said, π™‰π™Šπ™ π™π™Šπ˜Ώπ˜Όπ™” 🚫#HailState🐢 | πŸ“Ί:

– TOUCHDOWN BULLDOGS! Dillon Johnson with a two-yard scoring run. Ben Raybon with the extra point. Mississippi State leads Arkansas 7-0 with 11:15 left in the first quarter.

– On the back of 28 rushing yards from Dillon Johnson and a big passing play to Austin Williams, the Dawgs are already knocking on the door inside the Arkansas 10-yard line.

– About that time! Arkansas has won the coin toss and deferred, so the MSU Air Raid offense will be on the field first here in just a few moments!
