LHU football looks to shake off lopsided loss last week – Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Lock Haven is coming off a 72-7 loss to fourth-ranked Shepherd last week and the Bald Eagles are looking to shake off that lopsided loss.
The Bald Eagles host Bloomsburg today in a PSAC contest. Lock Haven is 1-6 entering Saturday’s contest and Bloomsburg is 2-4.
Turner eclipsed 1,000 passing yards in last week’s loss (1,031) and this year has seven touchdown passes. Wakefield is nearing 500 yards for the year as he sits at 438. For the season, he’s averaging an impressive 4.5 yards per carry and has been key for LHU.
The Huskies lost to Kutztown last week on the road, 24-0. It came a week after beating West Chester, 21-16. Bloomsburg has used two quarterbacks this year, both playing in five games. KJ Riley, a former Danville standout, has 562 passing yards and David LePoidevin has 231 passing yards. Kaleb Monaco has 255 rushing yards and Riley has 143.
Bloomsburg started the year with a 30-point performance in a thrilling 33-30 double overtime loss to Stonehill College. The Huskies beat Clarion, 42-3, in Week 2. But since that 39-point win against Clarion, Bloomsburg’s offense has struggled putting up points.
