Prajnesh loses in opening round of Playford Challenger
Prajnesh Gunneswaran was beaten 7-5, 6-1 by second seed James Duckworth in the $53,120 Challenger tennis tournament in Playford, Australia, on Tuesday.

ISSF World Championships: India second on table despite medal-less day
Anjum Moudgil and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar shot 873 and placed 17th in 50-metre rifle prone mixed team event of the shooting World Championship in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday.
The other Indian pair of Sift Kaur Samra and Swapnil Kusale shot 866 for the 31st spot among 51 teams.
In the 25-metre centre fire pistol event, Omkar Singh scored 578 for the 13th spot.
In 25-metre rapid fire pistol team event, the Indian trio of Anish Bhanwala, Vijayveer Sidhu and Olympic silver medallist Vijay Kumar, shot 566 in the second stage of qualification for the seventh spot. The team had earlier qualified in the fourth place with a score of 870 in the first phase.
India continued to stay in the second spot on the medals table with 12 gold, nine silver and 13 bronze medals. China was on top with 27 gold, 16 silver and 15 bronze. Germany was in the third place with four gold, two silver and six bronze.
