College football schedule today: TV coverage, channels, scores for Week 5 top 25 games – Sporting News

  • October 1, 2022

The Week 5 college football schedule stands to be among the most impactful of this young season.
A total of five games will take place among ranked teams, which includes two matchups of unbeaten opponents. The biggest game of the week is debatable, but there’s no doubting that No. 2 Alabama at No. 20 Arkansas will draw plenty of eyes in the 3:30 p.m. ET CBS slot.
The Crimson Tide appear to have worked out some offensive issues from earlier in their season, but the Week 2 trip to Austin, Texas — where Alabama escaped with a 20-19 win — likely weighs on Nick Saban’s mind this week. Now he and Alabama must travel to Fayetteville, where Sam Pittman has the Razorbacks — fresh off a heartbreaking loss to Texas A&M — looking like true contenders in the SEC.
The “other” biggest game this week will be No. 10 NC State’s trip to No. 5 Clemson. The Wolfpack will face their first true test after surviving a couple of scares from lesser competition earlier in the season. Meanwhile, Dabo Swinney appears to have the Tigers in midseason form — particularly quarterback DJ Uiagalelei — after a fantastic offensive battle with Wake Forest.
