Alfie Devine’s new five-year deal is a “huge coup” for Tottenham.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On 6 September, Tottenham announced that Devine, 18, had signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2027.
📝 We are delighted to announce that Alfie Devine has signed a new contract with the Club that will run until 2027.
Wenham insists the midfielder is Spurs’ most promising young player and could not be happier with his new contract.
“It’s a massive deal for Alfie and a huge, huge coup for Tottenham to get Alfie to commit for another five years,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He has been frustrated recently due to injury and he has been stuck in the Under-21s when he was set to go out on loan.

“There was frustration there so I am absolutely delighted that it seems to have been put aside and he has signed this new deal.
“He is registered in our UEFA Youth League squad and he should be returning from injury soon. A few weeks ago I put out an exclusive tweet that he would be out for three to four weeks.
“So, hopefully, he can make his debut in that competition when our youth side takes on Frankfurt after the international break.
“I’m just absolutely delighted that we have secured our most promising young player onto a long-term deal.”
Devine made 22 appearances for the various Spurs youth sides last season, scoring 11 goals.
He is the club’s youngest ever goalscorer after he netted on his first-team debut in a 5-0 FA Cup victory at non-league Marine in January 2021.
