FSU football: Updated look at injury situation for Seminoles – Tallahassee Democrat

  • September 20, 2022

Undefeated Florida State has already had its share of injuries during the season’s opening month.
A lengthy list of players – headlined by quarterback Jordan Travis – are listed as questionable by FSU for Saturday’s ACC game against Boston College at 8 p.m. at Doak Campbell Stadium.
FSU coach Mike Norvell played it coy but still voiced optimism during his weekly press conference Monday.
“There’s a lot of guys that went down at different times throughout the course of that game,” Norvell said of the Seminoles’ 35-31 win at Louisville last Friday.
“I felt very good about where those reports came back. We’ll continue to evaluate as the week goes on. I know these guys. They put so much into it. Anytime you have to miss it hurts and I hate it for them.
“You just have to attack the rehab.”
Travis did potentially give a positive update on his own his lower-leg injury on social media Saturday.
He tweeted  “great news…let’s get it.”

There are no changes for the FSU depth chart released Monday morning Norvell from last week’s depth chart.
Despite his injury, Travis is still listed as the starter, with Rodemaker as the backup.
Perhaps a bit of gamesmanship for the Seminoles?
Norvell said at his press conference all his injured players will be re-evaluated throughout the week and work through rehab.
