Iowa Football: Social media reacts to Hawkeyes' delay versus Nevada – Hawkeyes Wire

Iowa was having their best game yet. The defense was fantastic as usual, punter Tory Taylor steadily building his Ray Guy case, and the offense finally decided to score a touchdown.
Freshman running back Kaleb Johnson was starting to make his presence known with the offensive line gaining a bit of steam. The football gods, however, decided enough was enough with Spencer Petras’ first passing touchdown of the season.
The game was put into weather delay around 8:30 CST. Two subsequent weather delays later, fans had still only been treated to one dropped screen pass. While there was nothing happening on the field, the real entertainment took place on social media. This never-ending game took center stage on the online football community that was still awake, and there were jokes aplenty.
It was an extremely enjoyable weather delay on social media, seeing the hilarious jokes and the descent into madness by the reporters trapped in attendance. Here are the best social media reactions from the never-ending weather delay at Kinnick Stadium.
