Tottenham should be monitoring Shakhtar Donestk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk ahead of the next transfer window.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Sources told Football Insider on Thursday (15 September) that Newcastle have now set their sights on signing Mudryk, 21, as they want to sign another A-list attacker in January.
This site reported earlier this month (1 September) that Brentford had a £26million bid rejected for the Ukrainian and Arsenal have also been created with interest.
Wenham hopes Spurs are tracking him after he was blown away by Mudryk’s recent “phenomenal” performances.
“There is one player I hope Tottenham are looking at, Mudryk at Shakhtar,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I saw he scored against last night and I saw their highlights from their win over Leipzig, absolutely phenomenal.
“I have also seen that he has been heavily linked with Arsenal, I just hope Tottenham’s scouts are aware of this guy.
“He looks a real find and he is now doing it at the top level in the Champions League. He looks fantastic.
“He was linked with Arsenal but if Tottenham come in then I expect they would get the player. He is definitely one to watch out for.”
Mudryk scored two goals and assisted nine in 19 appearances for Shakhtar Donetsk last season.
He is primarily a left-winger but can also play on the right-hand side of the attack as well as through the middle.
In other news, a former Fifa official has claimed Tottenham face a potential stadium closure as controversial footage emerges.
