Brendan Rodgers reveals new reasons for Caglar Soyuncu's Leicester City struggles
An opportunity is likely to arise for out-of-favour centre-back Caglar Soyuncu as he fights to get back into the Leicester City line-up.
A regular starter over the past three seasons, Soyuncu has not played a single minute of City’s last 11 Premier League fixtures over the start of this campaign and the end of the latter. He was absent from the squad completely last time out at Brighton.
City manager Brendan Rodgers has previously attributed Soyuncu’s absence to his performance at Seagrave, saying the Turk has been “out of form in training for a while”, also admitting that the defender had believed he would move clubs this summer. This week, Rodgers gave more detail and said disappointment internationally, with Turkey losing every game at Euro 2020, injuries, and the pressure of being one of the only fit centre-halves for the majority last season had contributed to his levels dropping.

Leicester City transfer 'agreement' emerges after 'exhausting' talks
Leicester City reportedly came close to signing Atalanta winger Jérémie Boga on transfer deadline day after reaching an 'exhausting agreement' with the Italian club.
City made just a single signing on deadline day, with Wout Faes being officially announced as a replacement for Wesley Fofana, who saw his transfer saga end by successfully securing a move to Chelsea. Alex Smithies was the only other summer arrival to replace the released Eldin Jakupovic, who has since signed a short-term contract with Everton, and departed club captain Kasper Schmeichel in the goalkeeper department.
Boga could have become a third name added to that list, but a late loan move was reportedly turned down by the Ivory Coast international despite falling behind summer signing and former Leicester loanee Ademola Lookman at Atalanta.

Leicester predicted XI v Spurs: Three changes as Rodgers faces tough decisions in every position
Brendan Rodgers could match up Tottenham's back-three system this weekend as he looks to find a way to stop Antonio Conte's unbeaten side.
The Leicester City boss has called on his team to play with bravery and aggression in search of their first win, but disrupting a team that have won four and drawn two of their Premier League fixtures so far will be in his thinking too. In that sense, opting for a back three may be the best bet.
Conte’s Spurs have played almost exclusively with a back three since the Italian took over and Rodgers opted to go like-for-like in the two games against them last season, the 3-2 defeat at home in January and a 3-1 loss away in May. If he does so again, he will have plenty of decisions to make in each area of the pitch.

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte sends 'very clear' warning ahead of Leicester clash
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte made crystal clear to his squad that no one is undroppable ahead of the visit of Leicester City.
Brendan Rodgers ' side are in the capital to face a Spurs side who remain unbeaten half a dozen matches into the Premier League season but now reeling from their first defeat of the season against Sporting during Champions League action this midweek. Late goals from Arthur and Paulinho in Lisbon saw the Portuguese side snatch a 2-0 win at the death that leaves them above the north London side in Group B after two games.
Conte has already claimed that changes are in the offing ahead of the final match before the international break. The Italian has also stressed that he wants to see a "good reaction" with "a bit of anger" against the threat that City will pose and he isn't afraid of dropping a player or two in achieving the desired result.
