Oliver Skipp will have to wait to get back into the Tottenham starting XI after he returns to full fitness, according to Paul Robinson.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs and England goalkeeper claimed Skipp is now behind Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Yves Bissouma in the pecking order.
As quoted by football.london on Thursday (15 September), Antonio Conte hinted that Skipp could feature in the upcoming games as he is in better physical condition.
The midfielder, who turned 22 on Friday (16 September), missed the beginning of the season with a foot injury but he has been an unused substitute in the last four games.
“It’s good to have him back and it’s good to have your squad fit again,” Robinson told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“But if you look at where he’d play, Bentancur and Hojbjerg are playing there. If he’s going to change it, you’d expect him to put Bissouma in there.

“He’s been out a while and if he gets fit he’s got a long way to get back into the team.
“If the manager changes it between Hojbjerg and Bentancur, for me, Bissouma comes in. He’s had to bide his time, he’s not really been given an opportunity yet.
“If the manager does change it, Bissouma is in ahead of Skipp. So, there are three players there he’s got to dislodge to get back into the side.
“There is the fixture pile up and amount of games but the manager seems very reluctant to rotate.
“He’s rotated a couple of positions but generally kept the spine of eight or nine without changing many which over the course of a season he’s going to have to do.”
