Newcastle United will return to winning ways once their key players return from injury.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the club’s current predicament.
Newcastle have only won one Premier League game this season and have several key players out injured.
Medical Insider Ben Dinnery told Football Insider earlier this month (2 September) that Callum Wilson, the club’s top scorer this season, may not feature for the Magpies until after the international break in October.
Bruno Guimaraes and Allan Saint-Maximin have also missed the club’s last two games through injury with the Magpies drawing on both occasions.
Kenny insists Newcastle will be back to winning ways as soon as their key men return.

“Every club misses their best players,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I think it is a real problem for Newcastle though. You are talking about three quality players all being out injured at the same time.
“Saint-Maximin makes things happen and we all know how good Bruno is. Wilson seems to be the only Newcastle player who knows how to score consistently.
“So it is no surprise to me to see them struggle without those players in there. You just hope they can come back as soon as possible because the players who are replacing them just aren’t up to scratch.”
Newcastle have only lost one game in the league this season but have been left frustrated in their four draws.
Eddie Howe’s side were denied a clear goal in last weekend’s (3 September) 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace after a VAR mistake.
In other news, a finance guru has claimed Newcastle United are to “push the boundaries” as an FFP rule change is imminent.
