NC State has quite a few recruits taking Official Visits this weekend, but I wanted to take a moment and highlight some significant offers the Wolfpack coaching staff has extended recently.
3-Star 2023 Linebacker Abram Wright (6’2″/225) is currently verbally committed to Rutgers, but that didn’t stop the Wolfpack from offering him a scholarship last night.
Blessed to receive an official offer from NC State! 🔴⚫️@CoachTonyGibson @Coach__Gio pic.twitter.com/s7pbzIv0dS
— Abram Wright | 3🌟LB | (@Abramwright2) September 9, 2022

Wright committed to run with the Scarlet Knights on June 12th. He plays for Fleming Island High (Fleming Island, Florida).

NC State went after another verbally committed player last night, extending an offer to 3-Star 2023 Safety Kamal Bonner (6’2″/200), who is currently committed to Georgia Tech. Bonner decided to fly with the Yellow Jackets on June 27th.
#AGTG BEYOND BLESSED TO RECEIVE AN OFFER FROM NC STATE!!🐺@CoachSanders14 @31_CoachFAL@PackFootball @CCPackersFball@CoachHoon pic.twitter.com/U4AI4ttXRd
— Kamal Bonner ✞ (@kamal_bonner) September 9, 2022

Bonner plays for Colquitt County High in Moultrie, Georgia.

Three significant 2023 NC State recruits will be taking Official Visits to Raleigh this weekend.
4-Star 2023 Tight End Verbal Commit Javonte Vereen will be on an Official Visit.

— Javonte “Juice” Vereen (@JavonteVereen) September 7, 2022

Vereen committed to run with the Wolfpack on April 1st.
3-Star 2023 Cornerback Verbal Commit Brandon Cisse will be taking his Official Visit to NC State this weekend.
WPN show me some love this weekend! OV 9-11! 🐺 @PackFootball pic.twitter.com/lQIBNdFMyW
— Brandon Cisse (@BrandonCisse) September 6, 2022

Cisse committed to run with the Wolfpack on June 14th.
4-Star 2023 Defensive Back Chris Peal is likely taking his Official Visit to Raleigh this weekend.
NC State target Chris Peal of Charlotte Providence Day is about to ramp up his visits again. His first trip will be an unofficial to Atlanta to see Oregon vs. Georgia. Then on to NC State for an official.
— TheWolfpackCentral (@NCStateRivals) August 31, 2022

Peal took an Official Visit to Georgia earlier this Summer, and is expected to take one to South Carolina next weekend. He was in attendance at the Bulldogs versus Oregon game this past weekend, and is seen as a Georgia lean. ON3 ranks Peal as the 70th best player nationally in the 2023 recruiting class, and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina (Providence Day School/Charlotte).

3-Star 2023 Tight End C.J. Jacobsen (6’5″/230) revealed his Top-6 schools yesterday, and NC State made the cut alongside Utah, Louisville, Arizona, BYU and Arizona State.

— CJ Jacobsen (@CJJacobsen1) September 5, 2022

Jacobsen is the #2 overall player in the state of Idaho in the 2023 recruiting class according to 247Sports and ON3.
Back in June, Jacobsen took Official Visits to both NC State and Utah.
Jacobsen is looking to possibly make a midseason college decision.

3-Star 2023 Running Back Kyron Jones (6’0″/190) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on September 17th. Jones plays for Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC), and the Official Visit to Raleigh will be his 2nd, after taking his first to UCONN this past weekend.
NC State was one of the first schools to offer Jones a scholarship, but they liked what they saw back in June at their camp, and extended an offer right then and there on June 12th.
247Sports ranks Jones as a 3-star prospect, and the #16 overall player in the state of North Carolina in the 2023 recruiting class, but he is unranked and unrated by Rivals, ON3 and ESPN.
The other syndicates might wake up and smell the coffee after the way Jones has started his Senior season at Charlotte Christian.
Through 3 games thus far, Jones has rushed for 527 yards and 5 touchdowns, and also has 5 receptions for 43 yards and another touchdown. Jones rushed for 276 yards this past weekend, and is averaging a laughable 17.0 yards per carry through 3 contests.
Check out Jones highlights from his past two games, running for 200+ yards in each.
Cuthbertson – 11 carries, 276 yards, 3 touchdowns/2 receptions, 23 yards, 1 touchdown

Southside Christian – 13 carries, 206 yards, 1 touchdown/2 receptions, 11 yards

Jones also holds offers from Iowa State, Duke, UCONN and others.

This past weekend marked the 3rd week of the 2022 High School Football season. Here’s a rundown of how some of the 2023 NC State commits showed out.
3-Star Cornerback Brandon Cisse had himself a GAME this week in Lakewood’s 47-23 victory over Dreher. Cisse had 2 touchdown receptions (almost 3), and returned a punt for a touchdown.

Cisse finished the game with 301 total yards.

4-Star Athlete Zack Myers had 3 receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown in Christ School’s 35-29 loss to Carrollwood Day.

3-Star Quarterback Lex Thomas passed for at least 2 touchdowns in Heritage’s 57-14 victory over Broughton.

4-Star Wide Receiver Kevin Concepcion had a 10 yard rushing touchdown in Chambers’ 40-0 victory over Glenn.
4-Star Safety Daemon Fagan had 5 tackles and 1 pass breakup in American Heritage’s 42-14 victory over Lake Gibson.
