Club Update – Plymouth Argyle

  • September 10, 2022

The club would like to issue a further update to supporters following the EFL’s decision to postpone the fixture against Sheffield Wednesday as a mark of respect following Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II’s sad passing.

Tickets

All tickets purchased for the Sheffield Wednesday fixture will remain valid for the rescheduled date, which is to be arranged in due course.

No action will be required for supporters if they wish to retain their ticket for the rescheduled match. However, other options are also available.

Supporters can ask for credit equivalent to the cost of tickets to be added to their Argyle ticketing accounts, while refunds are also available. In addition, tickets can be exchanged for the Tuesday’s fixture against Oxford United, with a refund or credit given to supporters due to the difference in ticket prices.

The options above can be exercised by contacting the Home Park Ticket Office on 01752 907700, by emailing [email protected], or by visiting the Ticket Office in person. Please note that the Ticket Office will remain open as usual on Friday, before closing over the weekend to align with the football community’s respectful postponement. The Argyle Superstore will also close over the weekend, but remains open as usual on Friday.

Hospitality

Our hospitality team have begun the process of contacting all supporters booked for hospitality packages this weekend, and a range of options will be available to guests.

If guests have not received contact from the hospitality team before Monday, please contact [email protected] or call 01752 302206.

Fans’ Assembly

Saturday’s scheduled Fans’ Assembly has been postponed, with a new date to be communicated in due course.

Upcoming Fixtures

Tuesday night’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Oxford United will go ahead as planned, with appropriate alterations to the entertainment schedule and matchday experience made to ensure due respect is paid to our nation’s longest-serving monarch. Tickets remain on sale through the Home Park Ticket Office and through argyletickets.com.

Next Saturday’s trip to Portsmouth is also scheduled to go ahead at this stage, though the decision for fulfilling the fixture lies with the Fratton Park club and their local stakeholders from an operations, resourcing, and staffing perspective.

Academy and Women’s Fixtures
The Argyle Academy’s EFL Youth Alliance Cup fixture against Stevenage has been postponed, as have the Argyle Women and Argyle Women under-23 fixtures against St Austell and Hashtag United Women, respectively.
Club Media

Consistent with the sombre mood of our nation at this time, all club channels, including social media and the pafc.co.uk website and app, will undertake a media blackout until 12pm on Monday.
