Austin Peay football: Live score updates vs. Mississippi Valley State – The Leaf-Chronicle

Austin Peay football is back on its home turf to face Mississippi Valley State at 3 p.m. game Saturday at Fortera Stadium.
The Govs (1-1) are looking to score its second straight win in their first ever meeting against the Delta Devils (0-1) as Austin Peay gathered momentum from its 63-0 win over Presbyterian last week.
The Govs rolled up more than 600 yards of offense against the Blue Hose. Quarterback Mike Diliello had four touchdown passes at halftime and finished with 254 yards.
Diliello faces a Mississippi Valley State team that allowed 300 yard through the air against Tarleton State. Devils ranked eighth out of 12 SWAC schools in pass defense last year, giving up an average of 234 yards a game.
APSU freshman running back Jevon Jackson earned ASUN freshman of the week honors after running for 167 yards and a touchdown last week while cushioning the loss of starting running back Josh Samuels who missed the gamewith an injury.
